This Friday, September 28th, the Sharyland Rattles hosted Laredo Cigarroa at Richard Thompson Stadium.
The game, which was scheduled for 7:30pm, was delayed due to rain and lightning strikes near by. As weather began to clear up spectators and school bands began to fill the stadium and the players took the field for opening ceremonies. After a 45 minutes delay the game was underway at 8:15pm.
The preceding bad weather did not get Rattler spirits down, the team hit the field strong and started moving the ball early in the game. The Rattlers scored a touchdown, with a good extra point, in the first quarter putting the Rattlers in the lead over the Toros 7 to 0.
